Expo Eventos introduces us to the world of events once again, which allows us to learn about the characteristics of our 24 Argentine provinces and its 281 localities suitable for events, which together with other Latin American destinations offer, will exhibit specific proposals for meetings tourism.
The public and private sectors of the Province of Salta will present Salta as a destination with a leading institutional booth; also they will develop the already set commercial agenda, they will take part in the business exchange round, they will be trained in keynote lectures, they will participate in the Destinations Venues of Events meeting and they will interact with specific actors of each destination.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Salta and the Salta CVB share their goals and have relentlessly worked to raise awareness, in the destination, about the benefits of this branch of tourism. The breakdown of seasonality, academic upgrading of professionals, job creation, raising quality standards, interinstitutinal strategic alliances and promoting holiday tourism concepts are no doubt having a multiplier effect on Salta´s economy by improving its population socio-cultural conditions.
Results are striking and are reflected in specific statistical data: Salta has managed in recent years to keep its position among the TOP TEN Argentine destinations chosen to host events (according to the 2014 Yearbook of the Economic Observatory of Meetings Tourism).
The province of Salta has cutting-edge infrastructure and qualified services for the organization of fairs, congresses and corporate events; this is why the Salta Meetings Tourism team will keep planning strategies and professionally implementing the necessary actions to support the development of Salta as an ideal destination for hosting all kinds of events.
