The global commemoration of the Consumer Rights Day was established by the United Nations to restate the rights granted to individuals as users and consumers. It is undeniable that the act of “consuming” by the community (whether natural or legal persons) contributes to the growth of towns. In that order and as consumers we have the joint responsibility for the virtuosity of the value chain in the development and ethical processes of the products or services we consume; as well as being careful to preserve the social-economic-environmental harmonious development.
Targeted at consumers and to protect them from inequality and abuse of contractual market the United Nations adopted guidelines which act as an international benchmark of the consumer movement also serving as a guide for the development of national legislation. The doctrine also recommends periodically update regarding technological and contractual practices. The Guidelines state; Right to satisfaction of basic needs,Right To Security, Right to be informed, Right to Choose, Right to be heard, Right to reparations, Right to consumers’ education, Right to a healthy environment regulation in Argentina; National Law 24.240 (1993) and Article 42 of the Constitution (Amendment 1994).Law 26,993 (2014)
